Prospective Member Luncheon at Mike & Angelo's
6214 Washington Ave, Racine, WI 53405

Sons of Norway was formed over 100 years ago to help Norwegian immigrants settle in the United States. We continue to celebrate our Nordic-American past and enjoy our present and future together.

You are invited to learn more about Sons of Norway, t our Saturday, April 21 prospective member Luncheon. You will meet many local experts on Scandinavian and Nordic-American culture. You can taste homemade Nordic treats, like rosettes and krumkaka, which might bring back some great childhood family memories.

You will get to know some of our many members.  Our Racine lodge is one of the largest in Wisconsin. If you are looking to develop new friendships, this is a great place to do so.  A slide show presentation at lunch will show you our many of the stimulating activities we.  Last year, we sponsored a Norwegian youth band for Racine's July Fourth Fest parade, which won the marching band trophy.  Afterwards, we picnicked together and had a private concert.

We are very family friendly, with activities for all ages.  After you are a member for six months, your children or grandchildren can apply for scholarships to go to a two-week Norwegian heritage camp in Northern Wisconsin.

Sons of Norway still offers financial investment products, including a CD-like account which pays much better interest than a savings account or CD.
Our financial benefits counselor, Greg Regan, is always available to help you make your financial plans. Greg will be at the Prospective Members lunch and will do a short presentation on Son investment products.

The Prospective Member luncheon is FREE and includes a delicious buffet at Mike and Angelo's.  Pizza might not sound Nordic to you, but in modern Scandinavia, they enjoy most of the foods which we like, too.  The New Member Luncheon runs from Noon to 1:30 PM on April 21.  Come as early as 11:30 for registration check-in and to mingle.  Advanced registration is required, please.  If you decide to join, SON membership is $60 yearly, and $90 for household members living at the same address.

Our Racine club meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 5:45 PM. The dates and times may vary during the summer.
